Pastor Scott Dean
Crossroads Community Church is blessed by the ministry of Pastor and Mrs. Scott Dean. Scott is a 1990 graduate of Taylor University in Indiana, where he received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He earned his Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Illinois and was ordained as a PCA pastor in 1995. He served as Assistant Pastor for Christ Community Church in Carmel for four years before launching Crossroads Community Church in 1998. He and his wife Laurel have four children: Micah, Jonathan, Madeleine, and Grace. Scott enjoys sports, playing music, reading good books, drinking gourmet coffee, and being a husband and dad.

Associate Pastor Keith Doane
Keith Doane serves as Asssociate Pastor at Crossroads and focuses on a variety of areas, including adult discipleship and missions. Keith was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and his Master of Divinity from Covenant Seminary. Keith worked with Young Life for four years while in St. Louis, joined Crossroads’ staff in June 2002, and was officially ordained in January 2005. Keith and his wife Susan enjoy sports and spending time outdoors. They have two sons, Schaefer and Beckett, and one daughter, Amelia.

Director of Sports and Recreation Ministry – David Peters
Dave has been married to his wife Jenni since 2001. Together they have four amazing and energetic boys – Caleb, Coby, Carson, and Cohen. Dave and Jenni became members of CCC in 2003, and at that time, Pastor Dean and Dave began dreaming of using sports to take the Gospel to the community. That vision led to Dave joining the CCC staff in 2007. He earned his Masters in Theological Studies from Covenant Theological Seminary that same year and is currently working toward the completion of a Masters of Divinity degree.

Director of Youth Ministry – Mark Shaffer
Mark Shaffer is the Director of Student Ministry at Crossroads, joining the staff in 2009. Mark has been involved in student ministry for ten years now, serving through college as a volunteer and working as the Director of Senior High Small Groups at Ada Bible Church during Seminary. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from THE Truman State University and an M.Div. from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Mark is married to Sarah and together they parent a boxer named Alfredo. Mark and Sarah enjoy anything outdoors, reading, a variety of music, and Iowa Football. His greatest joy is watching students choose life, wisdom, and the way of Jesus.

Director of Worship – Julie Armey

Julie Armey is the Director of Worship at Crossroads and joined the staff in 2001. Julie received her Bachelor of Music from Taylor University in 2001 and her Master of Music from Butler University in 2004. She spent six years teaching high school orchestra and “retired” in 2007 when her first child was born. She is mom to two daughters, Kate and Natalie, and is married to Ben. Julie dabbles in a myriad of hobbies, including playing various instruments, attempting to sew and craft, scheduling play dates, compulsively organizing, imagining she is a cyclist, and blogging about the aforementioned.

Treasurer – Dale Cardozo
Dale Cardozo has been the Treasurer at Crossroads since 2006. Dale received his Bachelor of Science (Computer Science/Business) and MBA from Anderson University in 1995 and 2007, respectively. Dale’s full-time employment is as the Director of Professional & Software Services for a technology consulting and staffing company named Theoris.  Dale is married to Beth and has three daughters: Lauren, Ellie, and Katie. Dale enjoys tennis, golf, table tennis, chess, dabbling with the acoustic guitar, reading, and vacationing with the family.

Office Administrator – Victoria Burch
Victoria Burch has worked at Crossroads for two years and comes to us with a background in business administration. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management. She and her husband, Tony, spent several years in campus ministry early in their marriage. Victoria enjoys drawing and being with her family and friends. They are the parents of ten children: Kimberly, Michael, Kevin, Noelle, Rusty, Daniel, Jordan, Jennifer, Kayla and Tyler and grandparents to eleven.
