“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and, Love your neighbor as yourself.” Luke 10:27
Crossroads’ Caring Ministry focuses on supplying needs in the following areas:
The family
Our primary care is to our immediate family. Each person is called to minister first to his/her own family – to care for the needs of parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, siblings, spouse or elderly grandparents. The family needs to “look in close” before it “looks afar.”
The church
Through our Service Talent Bank, Crossroads’ Caring Ministry is able to mobilize the gifts and resources of the congregation to aid those in need. By providing a Prayer Request/Need Request card and partnering with other ministry leaders, the Caring Ministry gathers, organizes, disseminates, and meets the needs of those in the church.
The community
Crossroads Community Church is very involved in a variety of community mercy ministries (both in Hamilton County and throughout the city of Indianapolis) as active participants and contributors. These ministries include:
Salvation Army’s Christmas Angel Tree Project
Shepherd Community
Wheeler Mission
Crossroads’ Meal Ministry
Deacons’ Fund
In Luke 10:29 a lawyer asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” After sharing the parable of the Good Samaritan, the lawyer answered his own question in Luke 10:37 with “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
