E.M. Bounds once said, “Prayer is not preparation for the battle, prayer is the battle.” We believe the apostle Paul in Ephesians 6 when he describes life as a spiritual battle that must be fought with God’s spiritual armor. One of the ways we believe God is calling us to wage this war on the behalf of our church and this community is through prayer. We promote prayer in nearly all of our ministries, as it is a God-honoring expression of trust and hope.
- Quarterly 24-hour Prayer Vigil – We have a 24-Hour Prayer Vigil that takes place quarterly with the purpose of enlisting our people to commit to one-hour time blocks of prayer. This gives our entire congregation the opportunity to set aside an entire day for individual and corporate prayer.
- Email Prayer Ministry – We have an e-mail Prayer Ministry where important prayer requests are approved and sent out immediately to congregants who can pray for others in the church and outside the church.
