Purpose
Student Ministries at Crossroads Community Church exists to partner with parents in glorifying God by reaching lost students and discipling students who are found.
Weekly Meeting
Each week, from September – May, students from 7th to 12th grade meet from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the youth room for a time of games, worship, teaching, and reconnecting with friends. The goal of these weekly meetings is to create a space where students get to know God and one another. The teaching focus on learning how to read and understand the Bible in its ancient context is paired with discussion which applies what scripture says to our lives. Teachings are followed by small group time, where volunteer leaders hold discussion and prayer time for our students each week.
Retreats
Every year, our students take intentional time away to connect with God and one another. Our annual retreats serve to focus the group and provide our students with the opportunity to examine the condition of their hearts. Teaming up with our sister church, Christ Community Church, our students enjoy a time away at Walnut Hills Retreat Center in the fall and at Lake Geneva, MI in the winter.
Mission Trips
Senior High students have a unique opportunity to participate in a missions trip each year. While the location of the trip may change from year to year, the goal remains for our students to have an eye-opening experience serving in an unfamiliar cultural setting. We want our students to learn to see brokenness as the effects of sin in our world and to be people who take part in God’s renewal.
